Follow this link to the official Suzuki press release regarding the signing of Chris Vermeulen as the teammate of John Hopkins for the 2006 and 2007 MotoGP campaigns.
There are plenty of observers that think Chris Vermeulen is a very special talent. We began telling readers about him way back on April 21, 2004, and he has fulfilled every one of our expectations. If this kid stays healthy for the next few years, and Suzuki gives him the right bike, he will be battling with the leaders in MotoGP for race wins. Some day he may be a champion, as well. Congratulations to Suzuki. They now have two of the youngest, hungriest and most talented riders in the MotoGP paddock. It is time for Suzuki MotoGP to stop making excuses concerning the competitiveness of its machinery, and start building winning bikes.
