Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) took both moto wins today at the Red Bud AMA National Motocross event, with James Stewart (Kawasaki) finishing second in both motos. Third overall on the day, with 3/3 moto finishes was Chad Reed (Yamaha).
Carmichael stretches his points lead over Reed in the title chase.
In the Motocross Lites division, Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) took another overall win (1/2) ahead of Mike Alessi (KTM – 3/1), while Andrew McFarlane (Yamaha) finished third overall (2/4). Alessi has a narrow points lead over Villopoto in the championship.
