A long line of riders drafting, and battling to the checkered flag in the Daytona Supersport final seems to be an annual occurrence. Not this year. Kawasaki factory riders Roger Lee Hayden and Jamie Hacking took their brand new ZX-6Rs to the front early and gapped the field before finishing first and second at the prestiguous Supersport opener.
We do not normally cover supersport racing here at MD, but the race track performance of a brand new model is always interesting to us. The 2007 ZX-6R is entirely new, and this serves as an interesting prelude to our 600cc sportbike shootout (which you should see in the next few weeks).
