Ben Spies (Yamaha) took both wins today at Donington Park, and closes in on the championship points lead of Noriyuki Haga (Ducati) who crashed out of race two. Finishing second and third to Spies in race one were Max Biaggi (Aprilia) and Haga. In race two, Haga did not finish after a heavy crash and the podium was completed by Leon Haslam (Honda) in second place and Michel Fabrizio (Ducati) in third.
