The AMA Superbike series visited Virginia International Raceway this weekend for a double-header. Yamaha’s Josh Hayes took both wins, his fourth and fifth of the year. Finishing second and third to Hayes in Saturday’s race were Mat Mladin (Suzuki) and Ben Bostrom (Yamaha), respectively. On Sunday, the podium was filed out by Tommy Hayden (Suzuki) in second place and Bostrom in third. By finishing ninth in Sunday’s race, Mat Mladin secured his seventh AMA Superbike crown.
