Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) stretched his points lead by winning his third race of the year in San Diego last evening. Chad Reed (Honda) finished a close second, with Ryan Dungey (KTM) finishing third.

I tend to root fo the old guys too. Otherwise the kids get too cocky. Always pulled for Duhamel, Capirossi and the other so call old farts in road racing as well. SM…Jeff Ward. Flat track…Jay Springsteen… etc…

Reed looked like he wasn’t ready to concede that Villipoto is unbeatable in a “clean” race over race distance, based upon how close the finish was I’d have to agree. Reed seems to have picked up more speed.
Reed and Windham are ancient by Supercross standards but clearly deserve to be there. Credit where due but I admit to pulling for the “old farts” a bit extra, of course those guys would be calling me “Pops” or maybe “Gramps” 😉
