Surprise Winners at Washougal Outdoor Motocross

Yamaha’s Jimmy Button (250) and Honda’s Brock Sellards (125) won the overall for their respective divisions at Washougal Motocross Park in Washougal, Washington on August 1, 1999.

Button (who was 3/1 on the day) was a surprise, as he had not won a moto, much less an overall, all year. The 250 class continues to be deep with talent, and several different overall winners have stood on top of the podium in this division this year.

Last week’s winner, Doug Henry, was third overall, just behind Kevin Windham.

Sellards took the overall in the 125 class by going 1/3, beating Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael (2/2) and Honda mounted Jason McCormick (5/1).

Tallon Vohland (Honda) returned from injury and looked fast, but he faded in each moto to finish 6th overall.
