It is no secret that Yamaha and Toyota work together on many levels. This should become more visible to the consumer in the near future.
In the meantime, is Toyota sharing F1 engine technology with Yamaha? In just two seasons of competition, Toyota has developed one of the most powerful F1 engines. F1 (aka Formula One) is the highest form of automobile racing . . . at least, from a technical standpoint.
If Rossi does ride for Yamaha next year (remember, he has not officially announced it, yet), both Rossi and Yamaha will expect to make a significant leap forward with the Yamaha MotoGP machine. The Honda MotoGP machine will get better, as will all of the bikes. Yamaha needs to make a big leap forward.
Toyota F1 engine expertise could conceivably help Yamaha provide Rossi with a race winning machine in 2004.
