Rumors are coming from several directions that Chad Reed will have his own team in 2005 with a large, outside-the-industry sponsor. Reed could theoretically ride any factory bike he wanted in 2005. Any factory would be happy to provide him bikes and a mechanic. Of course, Reed would want a salary and bonus money from the motorcycle manufacturer he works with.
If Reed wraps up the AMA Supercross title tomorrow night in Las Vegas, expect an announcement regarding his 2005 plans soon thereafter.
