Highly touted David Millsaps (Suzuki) struggled a bit in supercross this year. The sixteen-year-old should be better outdoors, however.
Running his first outdoor pro race today, after having a bit of trouble in the first moto, Millsaps defeated former National champ Mike Brown (Yamaha) and Brock Sellards (Yamaha), among others, to take the win in Moto 2 at the “warm-up” race held at Glen Helen Raceway. The AMA National Motocross series begins next week.
Many of the tracks will be new to Millsaps, of course, and he is a young rookie. Nevertheless, do not be surprised to see Millsaps on the podium outdoors at several rounds.
