Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) won both 250cc motos today at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, dominating the later parts of both races despite some serious competition from Kawasaki’s James Stewart in the early going. Stewart took second in both motos for second overall, followed by Kevin Windham (Honda) with 3-3 for third overall.
In the 125cc class, KTM’s Mike Alessi holeshot both motos, winning Moto 1 and taking second in Moto 2 to take the overall win on the day. Davi Millsaps (Suzuki) went 2-3 for second overall, while Mike Brown (Honda) came back from a seventh-place finish in Moto 1 to win Moto 2 and take third overall.
Two races into the season, Carmichael leads the 250cc championship with 100 points to second-place David Vuillemin’s (Yamaha) 72. In the 125cc championship, Mike Brown leads with 81 points, trailed by Mike Alessi with 68.
