2006 Aprilia RSV 1000R and RSV 1000R Factory

Aprilia revealed revised versions of the RSV 1000R and RSV 1000R Factory at this week’s Milan show. The RSV 1000R features a few significant changes for 2006, including a completely redesigned fairing, tail, and windscreen for improved aerodynamics and cooling, as well as a more attractive appearance. The new tailsection uses a trick-looking LED brakelight and turn signals.

Other changes include a new 43mm Ohlins fork with titanium nitride coating, and some significant engine modifications like larger exhaust valves, larger exhaust system collector diameters, and a new ECU from Siemens VDO which has revised mapping designed to increase engine efficiency.

Aprilia’s stand also featured the beautiful RSV 1000R Factory, with uprated components like Ohlins shock and steering damper and forged aluminum wheels. The 2006 Factory features gold wheels and a gold frame, which combined with the many carbon body parts gives a unique look.
