Despite suffering two fractured ankles just a couple of weeks ago, Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo rode practice earlier today for this weekend’s Le Mans MotoGP event. Lorenzo recorded the fourth quickest lap time out of the two practice sessions despite a small crash during session two (that did not result in further injury). Quickest today was points leader Dani Pedrosa (Honda), with defending champ Casey Stoner (Ducati) second.
Rain is expected for this weekend at Le Mans. Although most of the riders are hoping for a dry track during qualifying tomorrow afternoon and the race on Sunday.
