If you love motorcycle racing as we do, you cannot help but be personally impacted by the death of a young racer. Very recently World Supersport racer Craig Jones and AMA SuperMoto racer Anthony Hart lost their young lives on the track. Motorcycle racing has always seemed to bring together some of the finest human beings, and we understand that these two young men epitomized that tradition. Our condolences to their family and friends.
Unfortunately, we also lose friends and colleagues on the street. Some time ago, we posted some thoughts on safe street riding, and many of our most experienced readers responded with their own tips for staying safe on two wheels (here and here). In addition to the most fundamental advice to wear proper protective gear (helmet, boots, jacket and gloves, at a minimum), you can find some practical and useful information in these postings.
