Repsol Honda has announced that Nicky Hayden will miss next weekend’s Brno round of the MotoGP series due to an injury sustained by Hayden at the X Games a week and one-half ago. Hayden injured his heel landing from a jump on the SuperMoto course. Hayden stated he had the permission of his employer HRC to participate in the X Games
The timing of the injury is particularly bad for Hayden given his need to perform well over the next few races to gain negotiating leverage for a contract next year.
