The MotoGP championship series visited the Balaton Park circuit in Hungary for the first time last weekend. Marc Márquez (Ducati) continued his virtually unchecked domination. Marc earned pole position and then won both the Sprint on Saturday and the full-length GP on Sunday.
On Saturday, Marc was followed home by Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati) in second place and Franco Morbidelli (Ducati) in third place.
Sunday’s race was more interesting with Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) leading past the half-way mark before Marc took advantage of his harder rear tire to pass him and stretch out a lead of several seconds. Behind, Pedro Acosta (KTM) caught and passed Bezzecchi to take second place at the flag, with Bezzecchi third.
Of note, defending champ Jorge Martin (Aprilia) showed fabulous pace during Sunday’s race. Coming from 16th position on the grid, Martin untimately finished fourth.

At this point I have to wonder. Does somehow being able to understand that you can’t grow a decent beard and shave help with being able to race. Honestly all of the fast guys that I know either have a decent beard or, like most, simply shave if the don’t want or can’t grow a decent beard.
Think about that for a while before you throw me under the bus. There are exceptions to every rule. But…
I don’t understand the whole beard thing lately. At least you can shave them off. The tattoo thing got so people were just embracing the holy random and just dropped the cash for whatever right now! Don think!
Fashion kills.
Sometimes you guys speak in a code that I don’t understand. Back in the nineties I had a television that you could watch the rubbish that was broadcast into the air for free, as long as you didn’t think too much about the commercials they wanted you to watch. Back then I think it was channel nine in the twin cities metro area that was Fox. Are you guys saying that Fox actually broadcast a MotoGP race? Or is it some pay wall Fox for people who are willing to pay for something that still serves up commercials?
Is there such a thing as broadcast television anymore? Funny. The only time I see commercials is if I go to a Super Bowl party. I learned about ad blockers in the nineties. They rock.
please give us a list of what stations, channels, websites, you do watch, and tell me there are no commercials, advertising, on it all?
Sure Joe, Brave,is a browser, it’s free, that does not suffer fools well. You can add the ad blocker of your choice on top of that. I’m not sure how well mine cleans up the stragglers. But there you go. You get no ads even on YouTube unless it’s part of the video itself.
As for things I do watch. Well, whatever. I surf around or I hang out and fix stuff. Usually it’s kind of a YouTube University kind of thing were I try to learn to work smart instead of hard. I’m old, I have arthritis even in my sole. You either keep moving or you curl up on a bed somewhere and slowly die.
I gave up TV when the X-Files started to suck and never looked back. I don’t miss it at all. Now days, how on earth do you tolerate all the ads?
I use Brave. It’s a web browser that blocks ads. I add an ad blocking extension just to clean up any really clever ones. The only ads I see are when a YouTube content creator does an ad for something themselves. Of course you can just scrub past those. As far as channels go, well, I don’t have a television. I don’t use apps either. I use the website through the browser. Apps are just tools that serve up ads. I also avoid those so called sports bars where the only sport there is drinking and watching television, which is basically sitting around absorbing ads. I used to go to Superbowl parties. Some of the ads were pretty good back in the day. But they figured out how ruin that now. Progress, I guess.
I just pay for the Motogp app. No commercials and I can watch all the sessions.
Ditto
Aside from the now predictable winner, really interesting results on both days. It’s fun to watch when they race on tracks where the teams lack lots of historical data.
Fox should be banned from broadcasting any motorcycle event.
Totally agree. Terrible coverage. Commercials just inserted wherever and I don’t think they even showed the sprint race live for a f@&#ing fishing show instead. I’d rather watch paint dry. What the hell was wrong with Dora and
how they showed it last year with tru tv?
Here’s a big middle finger to fux sports. You suck!
